Classes
The art school offers classes for children (from 4 years old) and adults in the following areas:
- Academic drawing
- Painting
- Icon painting
- Children's modeling
- Embossing technique
- Papier-mâché technique
- Linocut (for children over 12 years old)
- Mosaic (on request for adults)
- Sgraffito (on request for adults)
We conduct individual and group classes and workshops. We offer not just drawing lessons, but fundamental knowledge.
Also our school:
- Organizes participation of students in exhibitions and competitions.
- Conducts plein airs in the most picturesque areas of Cyprus.
- Invites students to participate in various creative projects in Cyprus: painting the walls of buildings, consciousness of scenery for films, carnivals and theater performances.
We can help you:
- Prepare a portfolio for admission to colleges and universities in Europe.
- Prepare for IGCSE and A LEVEL exams.
We have extensive experience in organizing and implementing rehabilitation programs.
The curriculum suggests that:
- Pupils aged 4-11 will learn the basics of art history (from the origins and first cave drawings to modern trends) as part of their studies.
- We will reproduce all the directions we have studied, using different materials and techniques. We will be sure to paint, mold, scratch, glue and more.
- Please note that the School provides all materials except canvases.
Students 12-18 years old will create works in the directions of:
- drawing (still life, sculpture, portrait or interior). Material: pencil, charcoal, sauce, grisal.
- painting (still life, landscape, icon, or portrait). Material: gouache, acrylic or oil paints, crayons.
- sketches
Students should have their own:
- acrylic or oil paints
- canvases
- wooden palette for oil paints or disposable palette for acrylic paints
- A4 sketch book (to be kept at school, must be signed)
Adults
For each adult learner, goals and plans are customized depending on the request.
We often find that for some it is a time to get to know themselves and relax from the hustle and bustle of the day, for others it is an opportunity to fulfill long-held dreams, some want to learn the secrets of painting, for others it is rehabilitation after illness, and some are looking for something new.
