Angela Pichara

Angela was drawn to painting from a young age and took her first drawing lessons at the age of fourteen. She immediately realized that she wanted to connect her life with creativity.
In 2001 Angela entered the first year of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov in Moscow and four years later received a diploma and a gold medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 2007, after graduating from the studio of monumental painting, she received a master's degree, and after studying for three more years, she wrote and defended her thesis and became a Candidate of Art History.
In 2011, Angela and her husband decided to return to their homeland, the island of Cyprus. Here she realized her long-held dream of founding and opening a painting school.
Now Angela teaches classical painting to children and adults. She works with the puppet theater, where she designs and creates puppets and scenery. And, of course, she continues to paint. Angela participates in symposiums and exhibitions in Cyprus and Russia. Her works are in private painting collections.
If we look at her paintings, we can see that the Cypriot landscape is always at the heart of them. It is especially important from the point of view of the subject, rich and colorful colors inspire the artist. But Angela is in a constant creative search, she loves to experiment and try new techniques. She does not stop at classical painting, she creates a series of works that have a purely linear pattern and replaces paint with wool and linen.
