In 2007 he was accepted to the courses organized at Mosfilm in Moscow to obtain a diploma of production designer. For the next 2 years he worked on creating sets for films, but in parallel he was also involved in monumental works. In 2011 he moved to Cyprus, where together with his wife he opened a school of painting and created a puppet theater for children. Maxim participates in symposia and numerous group exhibitions in Cyprus and Russia, and his works are in private collections in Cyprus, Russia and Brussels.
